2016 | What went on at Rocombe Retreat
This summer seemed to go on and on, with long days of dry and sunny weather – even into the Autumn it stayed generally warm and dry which was perfect for the guests staying on site. Everybody really enjoyed their stay with quite a few people coming back for a second or even third stay in the same season. Secret Gyspy Caravan | Hidden in South Devon
Just a quick post to introduce a new member to our beautiful retreats in the countryside. We managed to lay our hands on a totally original Gyspy Caravan that was hidden in a farm auction here in Devon. Up until very recently she was plying around the lanes of South Devon… Now she has retired to Rocombe Retreat… We are sympathetically restoring her, removing a few non-original fittings she has picked up along the way, replacing the canvas top and canopy, and building her a couple of legs to hold her steady.
