Secret Gyspy Caravan | Hidden in South Devon

Just a quick post to introduce a new member to our beautiful retreats in the countryside. We managed to lay our hands on a totally original Gyspy Caravan that was hidden in a farm auction here in Devon. Up until very recently she was plying around the lanes of South Devon… Now she has retired to Rocombe Retreat… We are sympathetically restoring her, removing a few non-original fittings she has picked up along the way, replacing the canvas top and canopy, and building her a couple of legs to hold her steady. Canada Geese

During the early part of May the Canada geese have managed to hatch 6 goslings on the island on the top pond and have now moved across to the river. The yellow wild iris have started to flower around the ponds and several ducklings are enjoying the sun. We now have 10 calves in total – all looking healthy outside in the fields which are looking a bit dry – although the spring barley is growing well.
