Locally, within a mile is the village of Stokeinteignhead with a community shop, local pub serving food, a school and a church.

A farm shop, open on Saturday mornings sells local produce. The larger village of Shaldon has beaches and a more extensive range of shops and restaurants. 

If you are keen to get out and explore, good places to visit include Torquay, Paignton Zoo, Brixham fish Market, Totnes and Dartmouth.  Crealy Park, Woodlands Adventure Park the model village at Babbacombe, Kents Cavern, Widicombe, Haytor and the  River Dart country park.

Another one to consider if you are feeling thirsty – at Bishopsteignton near the River Teign estuary you can visit Old Walls Vineyard
